The Be Happy Yoga Project

Booking and cancellation policy

*You only need to read the section(s) relevant for the type of classes that you attend.

1. Drop-in Yoga Classes

  1. Drop-in Classes are 90 minutes in length and are open to the general public and suitable for most beginners and experienced yogis. Please contact us if you are uncertain as to whether a drop-in class would be suitable for you.
  2. All drop-in yoga classes have a limited number of spaces and some of our classes do sell out. To guarantee your space in a specific class, please book online here. You will need to provide your full name, email address and phone number in order to confirm the booking.
  3. You are welcome to drop-in without booking, however, if you do not book ahead your space is not guaranteed. There is also a risk that you won’t be aware if a particular class has been cancelled. Given classes could be cancelled due to planned reasons, such as holiday or unplanned reasons, such as illness or problems with the classroom space. We will endeavour to announce all cancellations in advance by text to everyone who has booked and provided their mobile number and by email to everyone who hasn’t provided their phone number.
  4. You must arrive punctually for drop-in classes as we lock the front door at the class start time.
  5. If you have booked a place and are unable to attend a class that you have booked for any reason, please cancel so that your place may be offered to someone else as early as possible.
  6. Please pay for classes in cash at the start or end of the lesson. It is currently not possible to pay for classes online via our booking service.
  7. We ask that you complete an enrolment form before your first class. If you would like to complete it in advance you are welcome to contact us and we will email it to you directly.
  8. If you have one of the following health conditions, you will need to provide us with a signed release from your doctor confirming your fitness to practice yoga: recent surgery, recent fracture, stroke, brain injury, spinal injury, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis. The assessment should specify what movements are restricted for you.

  5. The group organiser should also ensure that all participants have completed an enrolment form in advance of their first class.
  6. It is the responsibility of the group to ensure that a suitable space is provided for the classes to take place.
  7. We reserve a group class slot at a fixed time in our schedule each week. We, therefore, ask that you provide us with at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel any given class. Groups that cancel classes with less than 24 hours notice will be subject to the full class fee.

  2. The length and duration of community yoga courses are agreed on a case by case basis.
  3. Community courses are fully funded. Fully-funded courses are only made available where the partner organisation cannot be reasonably expected to find funding elsewhere, i.e. from the course participants themselves, through grant funding or through their own finances. For example, there would be no expectation that homeless people or asylum seekers could contribute towards course fees, however, we might reasonably expect that those managing health conditions, but who are still in employment might be able to.
