The Be Happy Yoga Project

Booking and cancellation policy

*You only need to read the section(s) relevant for the type of classes that you attend.

1. Open Yoga Classes

  1. Open Yoga Classes are 90 minutes in length and are open to the general public and suitable for most beginners and experienced yogis. Please contact us if you are uncertain as to whether an open class would be suitable for you.
  2. All open yoga classes have a limited number of spaces and some of our classes do sell out. To guarantee your space in a specific class, please book online here. You will need to provide your full name, email address and phone number in order to confirm the booking.
  3. Students who have purchased either a monthly or 10 class pass should nevertheless still complete an online booking for every the class they wish to attend in order to guarantee their place.
  4. You are welcome to drop in without booking for any of our open classes, however, if you do not book ahead your space is not guaranteed. There is also a risk that you won’t be aware if a particular class has been cancelled. Given classes could be cancelled due to planned reasons, such as holiday or unplanned reasons, such as illness or problems with the classroom space. We will endeavour to announce all cancellations in advance via email to regular class attendees and on our Facebook page, however, exceptional situations may arise where it is only possible to let the students we know are coming directly by phone. We, therefore, recommend that you provide us with your mobile phone number when booking.
  5. If you have purchased a monthly pass and we cancel any classes during that time, your monthly pass will be extended to compensate for this.
  6. We would ask that you arrive punctually for classes so as not to disrupt the other students. Additionally, if no students have booked or let us know they are coming, we will leave the location after 15 mins if no one has shown up.
  7. If you have booked a place and are unable to attend a class that you have booked for any reason, please let us know as soon as possible so that your place may be offered to someone else.
  8. Please pay for classes in cash at the start of the lesson. It is currently not possible to pay for classes online via our booking service. However, monthly and ten class passes can be paid for by direct transfer to our account. Please enquire for details.
  9. A limited number of Yoga mats are available for use during the class. Please indicate on the booking form if you wish to use one.
  10. We ask that you complete an enrolment form directly before your first class. If you would like to complete it in advance you are welcome to download it from our website, Facebook page or by asking for it to be emailed to you directly.
  11. 11. If you have one of the following health conditions, you will need to provide us with a signed release from your doctor confirming your fitness to practice yoga: recent surgery, recent fracture, stroke, brain injury, spinal injury, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis. The assessment should specify what movements are restricted in your case.

  8. Group participants are responsible for providing their own mats.

4. Community Yoga Courses

  1. Community courses are provided for disadvantaged, at risk or underserved communities in partnership with charities and social enterprises, who hereinafter are referred to as the partner organisation.
  2. Community courses consist of twelve 90 minute sessions scheduled at a fixed time once per week, unless agreed otherwise.
  3. Community courses are either fully funded and are, therefore, not subject to a class fee or are partially funded and, therefore, pay a subsidised rate. This will be agreed in advance of the course start date. Any fees are payable via direct transfer before the course start date, unless agreed otherwise. Fully funded courses are only made available where the partner organisation cannot be reasonably expected to find funding elsewhere, i.e. from the course participants themselves, through grant funding or through their own finances. For example, there would be no expectation that homeless people or asylum seekers could contribute towards course fees, however, we might reasonably expect that those managing health conditions, but who are still in employment might be able to.
  4. The partner organisation contact person should ensure that all course participants have completed an enrolment form in advance of the first class.
  5. It is the responsibility of the partner organisation to ensure that a suitable space is provided for the classes to take place, unless agreed otherwise.
  6. The partner organisation is responsible for providing mats, unless agreed otherwise.
  7. If any of the course participants has one of the following health conditions, they will need to provide us with a signed release from your doctor confirming your fitness to practice yoga: recent surgery, recent fracture, stroke, brain injury, spinal injury, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis. The assessment should specify what movements are restricted in your case.
